Executive Board

The Executive Board forms the administrative core of the German-Sudanese Association – Rhein-Main (DSV-RM). It is the body responsible for managing the association’s operations and implementing its decisions in line with its mission and strategic objectives. The board consists of the President, Vice President, and Treasurer, in addition to up to four heads of specialized departments. All members serve in a voluntary capacity, driven by their belief in the association’s mission and its importance in serving the Sudanese community in the Rhein-Main region and fostering integration and cooperation between Sudanese and German societies.

The board represents the association in official matters before public and private institutions. According to the German Civil Code, two board members must be involved in any formal representation, one of whom must be either the President, Vice President, or Treasurer. The board is also responsible for planning, executing, and supervising the association’s programs and activities in coordination with members and available funding sources.

Core Responsibilities of the Executive Board

Preparing and scheduling general assembly meetings
Executing and overseeing implementation of decisions made by the General Assembly
Managing the association’s assets and financial resources with transparency and accountability
Preparing and submitting annual reports to the General Assembly
Supervising member admissions and exclusions in accordance with the association’s bylaws
Handling daily operations and administrative tasks

Current Term

The current Executive Board was elected during the founding General Assembly held on 23 June 2023, attended by over 100 members in person and additional participants online. The board is currently serving its first term, with elections held every two years in accordance with the association’s constitution.
